Assistant Principal - Curriculum

NAPLAN 2026
Our school values were on full display during the recent NAPLAN testing period and I am proud to report that our students approached the challenge with resilience, confidence and enthusiasm. It was wonderful to witness the quiet determination of our students endeavouring to display their best efforts. A huge thanks must go to our Year 3 and 5 teaching teams who ensured our students were extremely well prepared for the testing. I would also like to acknowledge the many education support staff who stepped into classrooms to provide additional support as well as all other members of our school who were flexible and adaptable to ensure a calm learning environment with limited distractions.
We look forward to receiving preliminary school data during in Term 2 with individual student reports usually available to parents sometime in Term 3.
Holiday Works
As usual there are number of school improvement works being completed during the upcoming term break.
Gym upgrades - Our gym will be receiving a much needed refresh! This includes internal painting, updated lighting in the toilets, replacing all skylights and replacing the window "bars" with crimsafe panels. A big thankyou to our PCA who have fundraised for these improvements and for our community for supporting our fundraising events.
Science Room - Internal painting, new pinboards installed and electrical upgrades
Art Room - Existing sinks replaced with free standing sinks, plumbing upgrades and removal of rotten cabinetry
Tree works around the school
Steam cleaning of all classrooms
Synthetic turf cleaning and maintenance
We are looking forward to the above works and hope they have the school looking fantastic for the beginning of Term 2.
Kind regards,
Brendan Garvey
Assistant Principal
