Principal's Report

Welcome back to Term 2. 

I hope all our families enjoyed a restful two‑week holiday break and found time to recharge. My family and I spent a few days on Wadjemup (Rottnest Island), making the most of the sunshine with bike riding and snorkelling — a wonderful way to reset before the busy term ahead.

Thank you to the families who joined us for our ANZAC Service last Friday to commemorate ANZAC Day. Your presence added great meaning to the occasion. We are also grateful to the City of Armadale and the Police Rangers for their involvement and support in honouring this important national day.

A new term always brings fresh opportunities for our students and community. Next Monday, we are privileged to host the E‑Safe Kids parent workshop and studentincursion, supporting our ongoing commitment to educating children about safe and responsible online behaviour.

This term also marks our school’s involvement in the Armadale Schools PE Network, where our students will participate alongside five neighbouring schools in the Winter Lightning Carnival. With the Faction Cross Country Carnival also approaching, it is shaping up to be a very active and energetic term for our students.

Our annual STEAM Exhibition is another highlight on the calendar. This event continues to grow each year, and I am looking forward to celebrating the creativity, innovation, and problem‑solving our students bring to their STEAM learning.

Families will notice a new student work showcase board installed outside the front office. Beginning in Week 4, each class will have a turn displaying work that reflects their learning journey. Alongside this, the P&F now have a communication board to keep families informed of upcoming events and initiatives as you transition your children to class.

Finally, the Fairies Building Project is progressing well. Once complete, this space will become a dedicated specialist area for Music and Italian, supporting our long‑term vision for high‑quality learning environments as we move toward 2027.

I look forward to a productive and engaging term ahead for all students, staff, and families.
