Student Wellbeing

Supporting Student Mental Health and Wellbeing:
Our school is proud to be part of the Victorian Government’s Mental Health in Primary Schools (MHiPS) initiative. This program represents an investment in supporting the mental health and wellbeing of all primary school students across Victoria.
As part of this program, schools are able to employ a Mental Health and Wellbeing Leader who supports a whole-school approach to student wellbeing. This role complements our existing wellbeing structures and focuses on building staff capacity to:
Identify mental health concerns early
Support early identification of wellbeing concerns and work with families to connect students with appropriate support when needed.
Implement effective mental health strategies within the classroom
The program is based on research and partnerships with leading organisations, including the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute and the University of Melbourne. It ensures that mental health promotion, prevention and early intervention are embedded into everyday school practice.
Well-developed mental health literacy within a school community helps ensure that children feel safe, supported and able to thrive - both academically and socially.
As part of this work, we are inviting parents and carers to complete a short survey about student wellbeing. The survey will help us better understand how families view their child’s wellbeing at school and identify the things that help children feel safe, calm and supported in our community.
Your feedback will help guide future wellbeing initiatives and ensure we continue to strengthen the support we provide for all students.
We greatly appreciate your time and input as we work together to support the wellbeing of every child in our school community. The survey is short and should only take a few minutes to complete. If possible, we ask that you complete one survey for each child, as every child is unique and their wellbeing needs and experiences at school may differ.

Thanking you for your support
Harmony Week: Monday 16th - Sunday 22nd March
Harmony Week is a special opportunity for our school community to celebrate diversity, inclusion, and belonging. It’s a time to recognise and appreciate the many cultures, backgrounds, and stories that make our community so rich and unique. We look forward to celebrating together and continuing to build a school where everyone feels valued and respected.
