Throughout the academic year our students are recognised for their effort and achievements by a variety of tertiary institutions, businesses, and local authorities.
More results will be announced and celebrated in term 1 next year.

Kwong Lee Dow Young Scholars Program
Each year, high-achieving year 10 students from Victoria are nominated to take part in an academic enrichment program designed to support high-achieving secondary school students to achieve their personal best. The Kwong Lee Dow Young Scholars Program is named after Professor Kwong Lee Dow, a former University of Melbourne Vice-Chancellor and distinguished educational scholar.
Successful applicants take part in an exciting two-year program run by the University of Melbourne. Students participate in events and activities that will expand their academic and personal horizons. Students in this program also benefit from having access to the Kwong Lee Dow Scholars community, the University of Melbourne libraries, and overseas study scholarships.
The University of Melbourne received over 2000 applications for the Kwong Lee Dow Young Scholars Program. The year 10 and Pathways team would like to congratulate Lina Safar of 10F who was selected to take part in the program!! Lina has consistently demonstrated dedication towards her learning and has modelled our school values of belonging, understanding, respect, and growth.
2023 Hume Whittlesea Local Learning and Employment Network Vocational Education Awards
The Hume Whittlesea LLEN continues to recognise and award students excelling in vocational education in our local schools. The HWLLEN Vocational Education Awards are proudly supported by Hume City Council, the City of Whittlesea, and the Hume and Whittlesea Youth Commitments. They are designed to celebrate student achievements in VCAL/VM, VET, VPC and SBAT.
These awards aim to promote the importance and relevance of vocational education and training pathways, whilst also celebrating student engagement and achievement in their chosen fields. The awards are based on student results, attitudes, and achievements. They are nominated by schools and endorsed through recommendations from employers, teachers and work placement coordinators.
Greenvale Leadership Award
Member for Greenvale, Iwan Walters MP, has established the Greenvale Young Leaders Award to recognise young people in our community who have demonstrated exceptional public service and to validate their commitment to education as they commence year 12 studies in 2024. Examples of students’ public service may include volunteer work, student leadership or community service.

Ampol Best All Rounder Award
This popular program empowers secondary schools across the country to acknowledge a final year student who has made an exemplary contribution to their school and wider community. The Ampol Best All Rounder Award is presented in more than 2,000 schools across Australia each year. The award recognises students that exhibit well rounded values including:
Youth Opportunity Scholarship Ashley Dass, year 12
This scholarship is offered annually to Year 10 students selected by their secondary school who demonstrate continued effort and progression toward achieving their goals.

ADF Future Innovators Award
The award recognises recipients’ science and mathematics abilities, while highlighting the value the Navy, Army and Air Force place on STEM skills and STEM career opportunities within Defence.

ADF Long Tan Youth Leadership and Teamwork Award
The ADF Long Tan Youth Leadership and Teamwork Awards started in 2006 to recognise students who demonstrate leadership and teamwork within both the school and the broader local community. At the same time, they recognise those who display strong values, such as doing one’s best, respect for others and “mateship” characteristics that are integral to Australian society.

Melbourne Principal’s Scholarship award – tbc when ATARs and offers come out in December.
The University of Melbourne launched the Principals’ Scholarship for Victorian Year 12 or International Baccalaureate students in recognition of their contribution to their school or wider community and academic achievement.
