EAL/LOTE Celebration!

This term we had our year 8 EAL & LOTE (Italian) celebration of achievements, which turned out to be a fantastic event! It was organised with the collaboration of the languages and EAL department. Student work was displayed, and parents and families were invited to enjoy and celebrate the achievement of their children. They were very proud and excited to share the accomplishments of the year.

The Italian students’ cannoli making skills, showcased with Ms. Marazita, Ms. Castrico and Ms. Colaluca, was a delightful hands-on way to experience cultural learning and listening to Italian music helped create a lovely ambiance.

It was impressive that Saif, a student from Ms. Ibrahim’s EAL class, presented comparative analysis through a PowerPoint, especially considering he recently joined the school community.   This was a reflection of his determination and effort.

Year 8 Assistant Principal Mr Fowles joined the celebrations and presented the students with a certificate to acknowledge their achievements.

Thank you to the MEA team who worked diligently to organise this event. A special shout out to Hands on Learning students Jamie and Stuart for their help in setting up the partition to display students’ work.
