AROUND THE COLLEGE

PERFORMING ARTS

Mamma Mia

At the start of term 4, 40 students travelled to the Princess Theatre in Melbourne to watch Mamma Mia the musical. The students were emersed in a story of love and determination whilst singing and dancing along to the hits of Abba. Students were lucky enough to participate in an intimate question-and-answer session with the main cast, asking numerous questions about how the production comes to life. Next year another group of students will have the opportunity to watch the hit musical Wicked at the Regent Theatre. Please see the office or Miss Dickson for an expression of interest form.

State Schools Spectacular

Any students wishing to participate in the 2024 State Schools Spectacular in either the Mass Choir or Mass Dance sections please return your expression of interest form to Ms. Dickson or the General Office. Spaces are filling up fast. The 2024 cast will be announced in the first week of February next year.

Fundraising

Two of our Athlete Development and Performance staff, Kris Blicavs and Charlie Perks, will be embarking on a MONSTER challenge in December, raising as much money for Lifeline Australia as possible.

Starting at 9:00am on Friday December 15th, Kris and Perksy will complete the following circuit:

2km Bike

1km Ski

1km Row

1km Run

They will aim to repeat this non-stop for 24 HOURS straight!

All going to plan, by 9:00am on the Saturday, they will have completed 100km on the bike, 50km on the RowErg, 50km on the SkiErg and 50km by foot.

An absolutely mammoth effort, the boys are on the hunt for a support crew, especially during the inevitable night shift.

If you would like to get involved, get in touch with either Kris or Perksy, or visit https://fundraise.lifeline.org.au/fundraisers/krisblicavs/ to show your support.
