Year 10 Art

Year 10 Art students have created ceramic busts of people they admire. Drawing inspiration from historical figures, celebrities and personal heroes, each student has used clay to bring their subjects to life. The students developed their clay sculpting techniques and learned how to prepare clay work for firing. Some students learned the hard way why it is imperative to allow air to escape during firing, resulting in a couple of cracked heads! A selection of Year 10 clay busts can be viewed on display in Main Reception.

Art Competition

The Staedtler Secondary School Artists of the year competition is back for 2024!

Open to all students from Years 7-12, it’s a chance for all up and coming artists to share their work for the opportunity to win one of 15 prizes. Entries close Thursday 20 June. 

This year you will also be able to enter more than one of your masterpieces. With the help of a panel of three talented judges, we are searching for the Staedtler Senior (Years 10-12) and Junior (Years 7-9) Artists of the Year 2024.
