Dear Parents and Carers,
Happy Holidays!
What an action packed term we had for Term One of 2024. We welcomed 11 new Foundation students to their first year of schooling, held the Swimming Carnival, multiple excursions, welcomed many visitors to our school and finished off with an Easter Egg hunt to end our term!
P & C
During Term One we held our first meeting for the new Parent & Carer Community, combining both our Parents and Friends committee and School Advisory Council from 2023, to create one community group. The purpose of this group is to organise school events, seek and provide feedback, assist in decision making and fundraising for the school. All members of our community are invited and are able to join at any time.
Currently the P & C is organising a Raffle to be sold at the Market as part of the Bush Festival. If you're able to spare any time to help out, please let me know via jgoonan@shcorryong.catholic.edu.au
Bush Festival
All students are invited to participate in the Parade and represent Sacred Heart School at the Man From Snowy River Bush Festival.
ANZAC Day
All Sacred Heart Students are invited to participate in the Corryong March and Service on ANZAC Day. Senior students will be sharing a reading during the Service.
ECSI Survey
Families are invited to participate in our School Enhancing Catholic School Identity (ECSI) Survey. This survey helps us at school to better understand our current Catholic Identity and where the school community might like to see itself in the future.
The results from this survey are used by our School and Catholic Education Sandhurst Ltd to plan future goals within Catholic Identity at school.
An email will be sent to all families with instructions on how to complete the survey. Please note it does take up to an hour to complete the survey. We appreciate you completing this survey so we can use your feedback to inform our future goals.
Easter & Caritas
As we head off to our Easter holidays, thank you to all of our families for supporting our Project Compassion - Caritas fundraising throughout Lent. Sacred Heart School students raised over $300 to go to Project Compassion to support those in need. We wish you all a very Happy Easter and safe holidays. I hope that it is time to do things that bring you all joy, to rest and enjoy time with the family.
