Last weekend , our Yr 6 students  celebrated their Confirmation Commitment Mass where they committed to being sealed with the gifts of the Holy Spirit at their Confirmation in August.

On Tuesday, as part of their Confirmation preparation, they will be attending a Family Night focussing on the gifts of the spirit. Our guest presenter Joshua Angrisano, is a vibrant young Catholic who will be talking to the students about sharing their "light" in the world.

Year 5's are also invited to attend this inspiring evening being held at St Brigid's Church on Tuesday 2nd June at 6.30pm

Last week our Year 6's participated in a Confirmation Reflection Day run by KIDSVIEW, an organisation who works in the Phillipines to ensure all children's rights are respected, protected and fullfilled. Catherine (the director) along with 3 Phillipino students worked with our students to teach them about the importance of social justice, to appreciate the life they live, to give our students a glimpse of what life is like for many children in the Phillipines who live in poverty and injustice, and encouraged our students to be actions of change so they can make a difference for a better, more just world.

On a very sad note, Harrison Kolodziej, the teenage son of our beloved teacher Anna, was involved in a terrible accident which has left him paralysed from the chest down.

I ask that you offfer up your prayers for Anna, Harrison and all his family and friends, that God walks beside them during the dark days ahead.

Let us pray...

" Heavenly Father, we gather before you with heavy hearts, seeking your grace and healing touch for Harrison and his family. We pray for their strength to endure the challenges ahead, for their spirits to remain resilient, and for his mind and body to mend. Please grant them hope, courage, and the support they need on this journey to recovery.

In your name we pray.

AMEN"
