SWPBS

The week 7 & 8 focus for SWPBS has been on Care - Support others in their learning.
At school, learning is a team effort. When students support others in their learning, they help create a positive, inclusive, and encouraging environment where everyone can succeed. Supporting others might look like offering kind words, helping a classmate understand a task, listening respectfully to different ideas, or celebrating someone else's achievements. By working together and showing patience and empathy, students develop important social skills and strengthen our school community.
Ways families can encourage this at home:
Model kindness and helpfulness in everyday situations.
Encourage children to listen carefully when others are speaking.
Talk about the importance of celebrating other people's successes.
Practise taking turns during games and conversations.
Encourage children to offer help to siblings, friends, or family members when appropriate.
Discuss how everyone learns differently and at their own pace.
Praise your child when they show kindness, patience, and teamwork.
By supporting others, students not only help their peers learn and grow, but also strengthen their own understanding, confidence, and sense of belonging.
