News from Mrs Connors, Mr Gray and Mrs Whelan

The LCS Cross Country / Fun Run will be held on Friday, May 2nd. The event will be held within the school grounds with all grade levels participating.

The event will begin with the 12-year-old students at 11:45 and finish off at around 12:45 with Prep students who will run with their Grade 6 buddies.

This is a lead up event before the Grade 4-6 Interschool Cross Country on May 16th.

We are holding a fundraiser in conjunction with the LCS Cross Country / Fun Run. This is a chance for students to raise some money for the school’s sporting department and earn some great prizes for themselves at the same time.  Students who raise $10 or more in donations will be entitled to a prize of their choice. Students do not need to seek sponsorship if they choose not to. Students who do wish to seek sponsorship for the LCS Cross Country / Fun Run will have up until May 2nd to do so.

Please note: LCS is registered for online fundraising only. Please read on below for further information.

Create a Student Profile Page at www.myprofilepage.com.auYou will also find the steps for setting up your online fundraising in the sponsorship form. Once the fundraiser has finished, click the ‘ORDER MY PRIZE’ button and then confirm your total amount raised and order your prizes by May 2nd The individual prizes will be delivered shortly after.

On Friday the 28th March your child received a hardcopy sponsorship form where they can keep track of the money raised and also so they can look at the prizes they are aiming for.

We welcome parents and family members to attend the Cross Country / Fun Run event to help cheer on the students. Good luck and thank you for considering our fundraising event.

Thank you in advance for your participation, and happy fundraising!

Pre-School Concert

On Tuesday students in Years Prep, One, Two, Three and Four were treated to a sneak preview of a performance that was put together by Mrs Connors and Year 3/4A.

Then on Wednesday Mrs Connors took Year 3/5 A to the Lockington Pre-School to perform for the pre-school students and staff. Our students sang a range of songs, many with actions and had the audience bopping along and joining in with the fun. Our students should be extremely proud of themselves as they performed with confidence and enthusiasm. A huge thank you to the pre-school for the invitation and to Mrs Connors for all of the hard work organising this event, rehearsing with the students and providing the musical accompaniment.
