Principal News

A reminder that Term 1 ends today at 1:30pm. Thank you to staff, students and their families for a fantastic Term 1. I would like to take this opportunity to wish students and staff a wonderful holiday break- it has been a busy term with camps, swimming, gymnastics, meet and greet sessions and of course all of the teaching and learning that has occurred throughout the term.  How lucky our kids are to have such dedicated teachers, great school facilities and such a wide range of programs.

Don't forget that Term 2 begins on Tuesday April 22nd (as Monday is a public holiday).

Year 5/6 Camp

The campers have returned from their four day adventure in the Grampians. From all reports they had a great time full of adventure- see the Year 5/6 page for some awesome photos of their time. Thank you to the teachers and parent helpers who attended camp.

Uniform

As the cooler weather hits, many of our students are now needing long pants and warmer tops, especially in the morning. A reminder that it is school policy that our students are in full school uniform for all days other than designated Out Of Uniform Days. If you child/ren do need to wear an alternative to their regular school uniform for short period of time, parents/carers need to telephone or message the office to provide a reason.

The school Uniform and Dress Code Policy can be found on our website using the link below.  This also includes information regarding purchasing of uniforms.

ANZAC Ceremony

Our school will host an ANZAC Ceremony on Thursday April 24th at 3pm. We invite parents and community members to join us for this event which will be led by our school captains.

Please also note that the Lockington Community ANZAC Day service will be held on Friday April 25th. Our school captains will also be representing us at this event.

A reminder that Friday April 25th is a public holiday, and therefore there is no school on this day.

Mother's Day

On Friday May 9th we will be hosting a Mother's Day Breakfast starting at 8.30am. There

will be bacon egg rolls for our mums and carers. Tea and coffee will also be available. Further information will be provided closer to the date, but please mark this special event in your calendar.

That's all for this week, Lisa Duffy.
