Wellbeing & Learning

At Carlton Gardens Primary School, we are committed to fostering a positive and supportive learning environment through our School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) framework. This week, our expected behaviour focus has been RESPECT—specifically, how we demonstrate respect when learning by looking after our classroom materials and property. Students have been encouraged to take pride in their learning spaces, showing care and responsibility for the resources they use every day.

Next week, our focus will remain on RESPECT, with an emphasis on how we always speak kindly to others, both in person and online. This focus aligns perfectly with Safer Internet Day, which takes place next Tuesday. Students will participate in activities and lessons that highlight the importance of respectful and responsible online behaviour, as well as strategies for staying safe in the digital world.

We encourage parents to keep an eye out for SWPBS stamps on your child’s hands. These stamps help celebrate students who demonstrate our school values in their daily actions. Ask your child about the stamps they’ve earned and the positive behaviours they’ve been practising—it’s a great way to start a conversation about their learning and growth.

Finally, don’t forget about our after-school playdate this Friday! It’s a wonderful chance for families to connect and for students to enjoy some relaxed time with friends. We look forward to seeing you there!

Thank you for your continued support in helping us create a positive and engaged school community.
