Year 5 Learning Update

Year 5 have been busy settling into our school routines and actively engaging in our learning these last few weeks.

Our first Unit of Inquiry makes strong connections to Australian history as we explore historical figures and events which have helped shape our nation's identity through our 'Where we are in Place and Time' unit.

We have already had our first incursion which was a wonderful historical story telling performance by Jan Wositzky. Some of our students were selected to even participate!

This week, we are off on our first excursion to the State Library and the State Treasury building to explore and learn about the historical significance of these two buildings.
