Getting Ready for Year 7 

Our grade 6 primary students were very excited to begin their secondary transition with canteen privileges starting today! Each Friday with the support of Sofia, students will head over and practise following the canteen expectations and etiquette by lining up, waiting patiently, using manners and dealing with money responsibly.

Learning about Tennis 🎾

Our F-2 Junior primary students are learning about tennis in sport classes this week, a wonderful way to build coordination, teamwork, and a love for being active. Students are enjoying learning and even taking it outside at break times.

Primary Swimming Intensive Week 🏊‍♂️

Swimming lessons are coming up soon! Grade 5/6 students will have their sessions in Week 10, followed by Foundation to Grade 4 students in Week 11. These lessons are a great opportunity for students to build confidence and develop important water safety skills. Please remember to bring bathers, a towel, and goggles each day for swimming. 

There will be no swimming on Tuesday 9th December (Statewide Orientation Day) and no swimming on the last day of school, Friday 19th December.

Gnarly Neighbours skate session for primary students 🛹

Gnarly neighbours will be coming to Seymour College to run clinics. Please see the following dates and times scheduled.

Christmas Card Competition - Entries Open 

Federal Member for Nicholls, Sam Birrell MP, is excited to once again invite primary school students across the electorate to take part in his 2025 Christmas Card Competition.

 

Students are encouraged to draw a picture showing what Christmas means to them

 

The winning artwork will feature on Mr Birrell’s official 2025 Christmas Card, which is sent to hundreds of people including the Prime Minister.

 

The winning student will also receive a special prize. 🎁

 

A card template is attached for students to use.

Hard copies are available from the General office.  

 

Entries close Friday, November 21. 

 

Completed entries can be emailed through or dropped off at Sam’s office at 426 Wyndham Street, Shepparton.
