Gardening Club

In term 2 and 3 gardening club were super busy fine detailing all the projects that we have worked so hard towards. On week 3 of term 3 it all came together with an incursion day that involved 25 of the gardening club students.

Bunnings staff and a team from McDonnell Dowell assisted this project by donating plants and other items. Everybody pitched in to plant plants, flatten paths, paint and build structures.

The sensory garden included plants from Fitzroy nursery that were part of the sensory grant. Haymes paints donated all the house paint colors that sectioned out the separate colors to represent the different houses and senses.

It was a jam-packed busy day with a special visit from our local MP members Bronwyn Halfpenny and Lilly Ambrosia who have become regular visitors to the garden space.

The teamwork and dedication from all staff students and volunteers involved was amazing.

To complete the terms work we have also began planting our summer produce to get ready for a summer harvest.

The commitment that the students put in toward this project was due to their time volunteered over lunch breaks and before school. We also welcome our newest members, our 3 goldfish.
