Science Week

National Science Week

National Science Week was on the 12th - 16th August. Students got an extra “science-y” week, starting each day in their Connect classes with outrageous, strange and funny science facts presentations.

On Tuesday during lunch time there were a range of science experiments that all students were welcome to participate in. Lots of fun was had with tea-bag rockets, invisible ink and the making of lava lamps.

On Thursday there was a Science Student Trivia Quiz in the Redgum Library. Many students took part in teams of four. Three teams were awarded the top three spots earning them some fun prizes.

The top three teams then went on to play during Friday’s highly anticipated Wollert Staff VS Students Science Trivia Quiz. The top three student teams battled it out against the staff team. It was very close with all teams making it through the knockout round! In the end the staff team were victorious. Fun was had by all participants and spectators and could become an annual Wollert SC tradition. 🙂

Science is the best!
