2026 - Key Information

Welcome Back to Ridgeview School – Term 1, 2026 

Happy New Year to all our Ridgeview whānau! We hope you have had a safe, relaxing, and happy holiday break. We are very much looking forward to welcoming everyone back for another exciting year of learning.

Start of School

School starts back for students on Monday 9 February. Teachers have already been in over the holidays preparing classrooms and getting everything ready to welcome our students back.

School Uniforms

New uniforms can be ordered through the school office.

Please email Kalene at office@ridgeview.school.nz to place your order. Uniforms will be available for collection from the office on:

  • Monday 3 February
  • Tuesday 4 February
  • Or from the first day of school

Office hours: 9:00am – 3:00pm

Uniform prices:

  • Jumper: $60
  • T-shirt: $40
  • Hat: $18

Office Opening & Enrolments

The school office will be open on 3 and 4 February for:

  • New enrolments
  • General enquiries

Alternatively, enrolment forms can be completed online through the school website.

 Stationery for 2026

Ridgeview School provides all stationery for students. By purchasing stationery as a school, we receive discounted rates and can keep costs as low as possible, while also ensuring that all students have the correct and consistent equipment.

If students choose to bring special pens, rubbers, or stationery from home, we cannot guarantee these will be kept safe. We ask that these items remain at home and that students use their school-provided stationery during the day.

Stationery costs by class:

  • Wāhi Koru: $47
  • Wāhi Pitau: $44
  • Wāhi Pakari: $40

Please note: We do not accept cash for stationery. Payment is to be made via bank transfer.

EOTC (Education Outside the Classroom) Contribution – 2026

We have received feedback that Term 4 can be a challenging time for some families to manage EOTC costs. To support this, we are introducing an annual EOTC contribution:

  • $60 per student
  • $50 for subsequent siblings

This contribution will cover all EOTC costs for the year, including:

  • Auckland Zoo
  • In-school camp activities
  • Stardome
  • Term 4 fun days
  • Bus transport to events and activities

Payment plans are available.Families are welcome to set up regular fortnightly payments to cover stationery and EOTC costs. Please email Kalene to arrange this.

 

Key Dates for Your Calendar – Term 1, 2026

Please add the following important dates to your calendar now. More information will be sent home closer to each event.

  • Monday 9 February – First day back at school School starts at 8:50am – please be on time.
  • Thursday 12 February | 6:00pm – Family Shared PicnicBring a plate and join us to meet the teachers, connect with other parents, and spend time with the Ridgeview whānau.
  • Thursday 5 March – Auckland Zoo Trip
  • Thursday 12 March – Parent / Student / Teacher Goal-Setting Evening
  • Friday 20 March – Swimming Carnival
  • Tuesday 31 March (evening) – School Camp Evening
  • Wednesday 1 April – EOTC DayLast day of Term 1 for students.
  • Thursday 2 April – Teachers Only DayFocus on the New Curriculum.
  • Friday 3 April – Good Friday (Public Holiday)
