Chev Need to Knows
18 July 2025
Our Main Office will be closed on Monday 21 July for a staff day while our staff undertake some mandatory professional development.
We look forward to welcoming our students back on Tuesday 22 July. At the first bell, students are to leave their bags in the CHED and go straight to the JFC and sit with their Home Room for a short assembly.
As we welcome our students back to Term 3, we wish to remind you that at Chevalier College we place a strong emphasis on the presentation of our students and the
adherence to uniform standards, consistently expecting excellence. We ask you to please take time to read the policy below and familiarise yourself and your children with the College expectations.
Students who do not abide by the uniform regulations will be asked to fix the identified problem and may be asked not to return to school until the issue is resolved. Students not in compliance with the uniform regulations may be placed on a uniform detention.
All final decisions regarding uniform regulations are at the discretion of the Assistant Principals – Wellbeing.
As part of our ongoing academic planning at Chevalier College, Year 7 core classes will be reorganised at the beginning of Semester 2. This realignment supports the natural curriculum transition in HSIE (between History and Geography) and CAPA (between Visual Arts and Music).
Rearranging classes also provides students with a valuable opportunity to interact with a new mix of peers and, in some cases, different teachers. This fosters adaptability, strengthens social connections, and enhances their overall learning experience.
We appreciate your support in helping students embrace this positive change.
Academic reports will be published in the Parent Orbit and Parent Lounge on the following date:
Parent Teacher Interviews for Years 8-11 will be held via Teams on Monday 4 August from 4.00pm to 7.30pm. Booking for these interviews will open on Tuesday 29 July at 9.00am.

ISA Rounds will resume on Saturday, 26 July. Team fixtures and bus information can be found in the Parent Lounge and Orbit app under School Links / Extra Curricular.
All buses will leave from the bus zone on Charlotte Street. Students leaving the College should be dropped off in the JFC car park.
The BBQ and Coffee van will be situated at the Main Oval tomorrow from 9.00am. Please see below for the link to volunteer.
IMPORTANT: We aim to have fixtures and bus times uploaded to School Links by Wednesday each week. Please check the fixtures every Friday afternoon/evening for any last minute changes to bus times and/or game cancellations.
We’re seeking parent volunteers to help make our home game hospitality a success by assisting at the Sports BBQ.
Your support is greatly appreciated!
