TheirCare News

Hi parents, guardians, staff, and friends!

Welcome to Week 11 of Term 4!

Yehey! We’re already at the end of this school year and it’s only 11 more days until Christmas! This week’s theme is “It’s Beginning to look like Christmas! We started our week playing hide and seek with Elfie – the children loved it, especially when they found Elfie with the advent calendar, and as a reward they got the chance to open it and keep what was inside.

This week we have had so much fun doing Christmas arts and crafts activities. First, we did the gingerbread house – the children made such a cute and colourful gingerbread house. Then we got the children to do the angel and the Christmas lantern ball craft activity – it’s great to see children enjoy participating in the arts and crafts activities and use their creativity and imagination to come up with a cool and amazing Christmas craft!

Also, due to this week’s weather being unpredictable, we played a lot of indoor games such as fruit salad, dodgeball, blocked soccer, and soccer competitions. Surprisingly, our TheirCare children were not just sports enthusiasts, but they were also good at gymnastics! This week we had a gymnastic competition, planking, splitting, and bridge competition! We've definitely had a lot of fun this week!

This week’s Pupil of the Week is Oliver Hubbard for always setting a good example for the younger children by always being the first one to help. Well done, Oliver! You should be proud of yourself!! 😊😊

As we approach the end of this year, we would like to give a massive thank you to the school’s principal, Mr. Brendan Millar, and all the teachers and staff of Footscray West Primary School. To all the parents and carers who were with us throughout this year. Thank you for the support you have given to our team. We appreciate it a lot! You are all amazing! We hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and New Year and we look forward to seeing you next year.

As the school year ends, we would like to remind parents of the upcoming expiry of their children’s medical plans and medicine if you could give us up-to-date medicine and medical plans for your children before we start our crazy yet fun 3 weeks of our summer holiday program. That would be fantastic! Thank you all for your support as always.

With the summer holiday program approaching, we would like to let the parents know that we are moving to digital excursion forms. Families will be prompted to provide consent when you book your child into the session via FullyBooked instead of previously signing forms in person. We would like to let the parents know that we have finally received our summer holiday program flyers in coloured version and if you want to grab a copy feel free to come and see us.

We wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
