Congratulations to our wonderful Performing Arts Teacher, Chrissy Jedrys and our year 5/6 students and staff on last night’s Production of The Wizard of Oz. The joy on student’s faces and the energy reaching the audience was awesome! It was obvious to all how much the students were enjoying what they were doing and that joy flowed throughout the performance space. Thank you to Chrissy and all the staff and parents who worked tirelessly on this production leading up to last night. It is a huge undertaking for you all, but we all loved being transported to the Emerald City!

Our school is conducting the annual Parent / Carer Opinion Survey offered by the Department of Education and is seeking your feedback. The survey is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behavior, and student engagement. The survey is optional, but we encourage and appreciate your participation.
Our school will use the survey results to assist in identifying areas for improvement and professional development needs in the school, to target school planning and improvement strategies. Participants details remain anonymous.
Whilst surveys can often seem onerous, we very much want your feedback to help guide our direction. The Parent / Carer Opinion Survey will be open online from Monday 17 August to Friday 18 September 2026. This will be available via a Compass News feed.All families are invited to participate in the survey. The survey will be conducted online, only takes 20 minutes to complete, and can be accessed at any convenient time on desktop computers, laptops, tablets or smartphones. The survey is available in English and 10 other languages including Arabic, Greek, Hakha Chin, Hindi, Japanese, Punjabi, Simplified Chinese, Somali, Turkish, and Vietnamese. Resources are also available in additional languages to assist parents / carers who speak a language other than English at home. Please reach out to your child’s teacher, or the school directly for survey guides in your language.
Book Day is coming
Book Day is just around the corner! On Wednesday August 26th we will commence our annual Book Week Parade at 9:10am. Families are welcome to join us for the Parade. Students are encouraged to come dressed as a character from a book or book-inspired category. We kindly ask that all costumes are age-appropriate and suitable for the school environment, allowing students to participate safely and respectfully.
Shelter In Place works on the 5/ 6 building
You may have noticed the finish on the recently completed works on the BER (double story building) has deteriorated rather quickly. The material used has been assessed and found to be faulty. This means that the paint that was applied and gave the building a fresh new look is coming away and doesn’t look too flash. This defect will be rectified over the summer break as the sheets require replacing.
Life Education Parent Survey
A company called Clear Horizon is helping Life Ed to learn more about how their program makes an impact – and they need your help.
We are looking for parents and students to take part in this study to help Life Ed understand
more about the effectiveness of their work. This will help them to make changes to improve
their service and help to encourage additional support to continue delivering the program.
You are eligible if you have a child between year 5 and 8 who has participated in the Life
Ed/Healthy Harold Program. Find out more here.
