I wish everyone well for this weekend's rounds of competition.

Clipboard
Over the coming weeks the college will commence testing some of the more advanced functionality that Clipboard provides. This will include automatic alerts around student attendance at cocurricular activities.
We will inform parents when this testing may affect the notifications they will be receiving through the Clipboard app and ask for your patience as we look to enhance the Clipboard experience for the community.

Football
Round 1 of ISA Football commences this weekend. All ISA teams are away with most at Oakhill College. The teams who are playing against Chevalier should note that substantial travel time is involved (approximately 1 3/4hrs from Chatswood).
Some important points to note that throughout the season, although we hope that all games are competitive, there is a mercy rule within the ISA, where if a game is moving towards a goal difference of 7, teams should actively look to not have a blow out score, coaches may manage this with players through systems such as swapping attackers and defenders, playing two touch football etc.
For finals at the end of the season, in 6 team competitions, the top 4 teams progress, in 5 team competitions the top 3 teams progress.
It is also the College’s responsibility to make all parents and players aware of the ISA Code of Conduct which can be found at the following link: ISA-Code-of-Conduct-for-Public.pdf
Advanced notice: There will be no Monday afternoon trainings on 11, 18 or 25 May due to Year 12 and 11 parent/teacher/student interviews and also a staff meeting.
Good luck to all teams playing this weekend.

Rugby
Knox ANZAC Trial
The college faced Knox Grammar School in the now annual ANZAC rugby trial last Thursday, in a competitive after‑school fixture that delivered encouraging signs across the age groups.
The highlight of the afternoon came from the 13A side, who produced a strong all‑round performance to secure a positive and well‑earned win. The 1st XV also impressed despite a challenging contest against quality opposition. In a match marked by intensity and momentum swings, Pius demonstrated real grit and resilience, defending bravely and staying committed until the final whistle.
Overall, the ANZAC trial was a valuable hit‑out, reinforcing the importance of effort, unity and respect for the occasion as Pius builds towards the upcoming winter season.
Rugby Supporter's Day – Saturday 30 May at Oxford Falls
We warmly invite all students and their families to join us for our annual Rugby Supporter's Day at Oxford Falls on Saturday 30 May. We encourage everyone to stay and show their support for our 1st and 2nd XV teams throughout the day. As a special thank you, students will receive a token for a complimentary sausage sandwich, available from 2:00 pm.
Many of our Year 12 students have been representing the College on the rugby field since Year 5, and it is a wonderful tradition to acknowledge and celebrate their final season. This event is also a fantastic opportunity for younger students to experience the spirit of St Pius X rugby and be inspired for their own future journeys.
We look forward to seeing you there, cheering loudly and showing your support!
