Mother's Day Festivities
Thank you to all the wonderful mums and special friends who attended our Mother’s Day celebration this morning. It was a lovely way to come together as a community and celebrate the important people in our lives.
A huge thank you to Dimitra Fourtzis, Bec Jacka and Katie Logan, along with the support of the Year 4 families and many parents across the school, for organising so many special touches to help celebrate the morning.
The liturgy was incredible, and thank you to Keira Curtin for her beautiful reflection on motherhood. Thank you also to Jarrod Barnes for capturing the morning through his incredible photos.
We wish all the mums and special people in our community a very Happy Mother’s Day on Sunday.
Sacrament of Confirmation
Our upcoming Sacrament of Confirmation program begins next Thursday with the Reflection Day and Parent Session. This is an important and special time for our Year 6 students as they continue preparing to receive the sacrament.
Thank you to Father Martin, Ed Simpson and the Year 6 teaching team for the work they have been doing to prepare the students for this special milestone in their faith journey.
Dendy Cross Country
Congratulations to all of the students who represented St Mary’s at the Dendy Cross Country this week. We were incredibly proud of the way our students approached the day and represented the school with such enthusiasm, determination and sportsmanship.
There were some outstanding individual and team results across the event. Well done to all of our athletes for their efforts and for the way they supported one another throughout the day.

Community Kinder Program
Our Kinder Community Program is now in full swing. Earlier this week we welcomed Hampton Community Kindergarten to our school for a morning of art and sport activities with our students.
Over the next few weeks, our Year 4 students will also be visiting Holy Trinity Kindergarten and Helen Paul Kindergarten as part of the program.
These opportunities are a wonderful way for students to build connections across our local community while developing leadership and confidence.
Winter Uniform
As we move into the cooler months, a reminder that all students are expected to be wearing the correct winter uniform, including the correct black school shoes.
Taking pride in our uniform is an important part of being a member of the St Mary’s community. Wearing the uniform correctly helps build a sense of belonging, pride and respect for our school.
We appreciate the support of families in ensuring students come to school each day in the correct uniform.
Open Morning
Our final Open Morning for the year will be held on Wednesday 13th May at 9:30am. This will be the last official school tour date for 2026.
If you know families currently looking at schools, we encourage you to remind them to come and see what St Mary’s has to offer.
We currently have limited places remaining across our two Prep classes for 2027, with most other year levels now operating with waitlists. Thank you to our community for continuing to promote and support our wonderful school.
If families are unable to attend the Open Morning, we encourage them to contact the school to arrange a private tour and chat with the leadership team.
Thanks
Steele
