Energy Thermostat check 2023

After a few hot and humid days this week, Pathways sustainability team decided to conduct a thermostat check to observe the energy use in classrooms and different areas around the school. The students found that most classrooms had thermostats set efficiently or decided to open the doors and windows to enjoy the fresh air. Other classes that went out for Community Access remembered to turn off appliances beforehand. Air purifiers were running in most areas but were set on timer systems and turned off when classes left the room. Next time we will look at lighting and computers. Well done everyone!
