From the Principal

Hi everyone,

What a wonderful Fiesta we had! Thank you to everyone for your support. We had support with the set up, the stalls and the pack up, which we truly appreciate. It was wonderful to see so many families, past and present attend and enjoy the event. I would like to thank our amazing Fiesta committee for all the hours of work they put into organising the event, as without their dedication it would not have been at all possible. 

Today is World Teachers Day and I would like to take a moment to give a huge shout out to our teachers here at OGPS. Our teachers provide an amazing and engaging learning environment where the children can be their best and achieve their best. We are very lucky to have such a wonderful team of teachers.

This week our Year 4 students went on an excursion to the Zoo and our Year 2 students went on day camp. Thank you to the teachers for organising these events and to the parent helpers who attended. Thank you to Mr Liston who supported our students at the Eastern Regional Athletics event last week. We wish our representatives who will attend the State event next week - Sophie, Olive, Ruby, Maggie and Isabella all the best in their events.

Thank you also to Mr Anthony and Mrs Pemberton for taking a group of our students to the 'It takes a Spark" STEM conference last week. Our students displayed the work they had completed in Inquiry units and from STEM lessons alongside other schools.

Just a reminder that parent requests (on educational grounds) for 2026 classes are due 10th of November 2025 to the principal team. Please forward all requests to the principal team - either directly or via the school email on orchard.grove.ps@education.vic.gov.au.

Additionally, if your child/ren will not attending OGPS next year can you please let the office know at orchard.grove.ps@education.vic.gov.au as soon as possible.
