STAFF DEVELOPMENT DAYS

The 2024 school year commenced for staff on Monday 5th February with three staff development days. Our staff attended a two day Western Schools Cluster Professional Learning Conference at The Crossing Theatre on Monday and Tuesday. They took this opportunity to network with staff from within the Western Cluster of Diocesan Primary Schools, including Mungindi, Wee Waa, Warialda and Wee Waa. They also enjoyed interacting with staff from the Catholic Schools Office, Armidale as well as the guest speakers and workshop leaders. The focus workshops and plenary sessions were a great professional learning opportunity. 

We celebrated a special Mass last Tuesday led by Father Sabu. We were joined at Mass by all Conference attendees as well as the parish priests from around the Western Cluster area. 

The staff participated in further professional development last Wednesday at school as well as attending a special staff liturgy and having the opportunity to get into the classroom for school preparations. 

BACK TO SCHOOL 2024!!

With enthusiasm, excitement and smiling faces we welcomed Year 1 to 6 students back to school last Thursday to commence the 2024 school year!!! Everyone was vibrant as they greeted their classroom teacher, spending time with friends, both old and new. 

We are looking forward to a fun year of learning and exciting opportunities ahead!! We wish all our students, families and school community a happy and fruitful 2024. 

WELCOME KINDERGARTEN 2024

Our Kindergarten class of 2024 commenced their education journey today!!! After attending school transition and the transition morning at the end of last year as well as visiting school for their Best Start Assessments last Thursday and Friday, the children are very familiar and settled with their new school setting. 

A warm welcome to the families joining our school community this year and to all the Kindergarten students. It is an honour to have you all at St Francis Xavier's.
