SCHOOL SPORT 2026
District and Western Sport Trials
In 2026, Mrs Francis will coordinate all district and western trial information for PSSA Sporting teams.
Some trials at a school level will be held prior to the district trials. This depends on the sport and popularity of trials at the district level.
When trialling for district and western teams, notes will go home with students from school and will need to be returned to school to Mrs Francis before the due date.
Students cannot attend trials without this note being approved by the school and students names entered into trials by the school.
Students can find out about upcoming school, district and western trials by listening to Sentral announcements in class, and parents can find out about trials by keeping up to date through the School Newsletter.
School PSSA Sporting Teams
This year we will enter the following teams in the PSSA competition. The coordinating teachers are also listed. Sporting team trials dates will be announced on Facebook and in the newsletter as well as on the daily messages that children receive in the classroom.

Western Swimming Carnival
Good luck to our swimmers who are competing at the PSSA Western Swimming Carnival today in Dubbo. Individual race swimmers are: Ashwin Buttsworth, Adeline Hunter, Addison Jones, Lawson Glasgow, Ethan Jones, Ellie Surawski, Jasmyn Ferrier, Patrick Muldoon, Lachlan Kelly, Evie Allbut, Margot Heiner. Our relay swimmers are Evie Allbutt, Margot Heiner, Natalia Heiner, Jemimah Lyle, James Hollier, Logan Davis, Ashwin Buttsworth, Patrick Muldoon, Addison Jones, Adeline Hunter, Zara O'Connor, Jasmyn Ferrier, Ethan Jones, Lawson Glasgow, Will Skein and Kaelan Wheeler.
Western Area Trials - Boys Netball
Boys interested in trialling for the Western Area Boys Netball Team, please see Mrs Francis for an information flyer before the end of term.
Trials are to be held in late April, with nominations submitted by parents and families for this trial.
Western Area Trials - Girls Rugby 7's
Girls interested in trialling for the Western Area Girls Rugby 7's Team, please see Mrs Francis for a note by the end of term.
Nominations need to be made by Mrs Francis by the end of term for these trials.
Athletics Carnival Field Event Trials
Children in Years 3-6 and Year 2 children turning 8 this year are eligible to participate in the Athletics Carnival Field Event Trials. Children have now nominated themselves in the events they would like to participate.
Trials will occur on Wednesday 1st April on the oval at school.

School Soccer Team
Girls and Boys in Years 5 and 6 are encouraged to nominate to take part in trials for the School Soccer Team.
Coaches - Miss Barber and Mrs McPhee
When - a list will be placed on the window of Miss Barber's classroom on Monday 30th March. Children can write their name on the list if they are interested in trialling for the team. Nominations close on Thursday 2nd April.
Trials - Break 1 Thursday 23rd April and Break 1 Friday 24th April (Week 1 Term 2).
BPS Support Unit Boccia Team Trials
Who: Students in the Support Unit who are interested in trialling for the BPS Support Unit Boccia Team
Prerequisites: interest in giving boccia a try, great attitude and commitment to attend training and competition day
Teacher: Miss Reedy
When: Please come and write your name on the list outside Miss Reedy's classroom by Monday 30th March.
Trials will occur on Tuesday 31st March and Wednesday 1st April at Break 1 in the Lambert Street Hall.
Students can look out on Sentral each morning for reminders of this trial information
School Rugby League Team
Congratulations to the following children who have been selected in the school rugby league team; Lawson Glasgow, Charlie Honeysett, Hendrix Kahukura, Benson Kerr, Noah McIntosh, Jhy McLaughlin-Sharp, Liam Stanford, Jax Brennan, Mia Higgins, Blake Hunt, Francesca Klein, Toa Leger, Jenson Pawsey, Axel Royle and Frankie Shoemark.
Training in Week 10 - Training Monday 30th March during Break 2. It is mandatory that children wear mouth guards during all training sessions and games.
School PSSA Team - Mixed Cricket
Our next game has been scheduled to be played on Thursday 7th May against Boorowa.
The game will be played in Bathurst.
Training in Week 10- Training Tuesday 31st March during Break 1.
