Principal's Message

Kaileen Carr

Dear Parents and Carers

Today is my first day back after a wonderful holiday. I am feeling refreshed and ready to go full steam ahead for the remainder of the term. I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Michael Wood for relieving for me during my absence. Michael has provided me with a comprehensive handover, which has made my return a smooth one.

There were a few changes made during my absence, and after reviewing these with Michael, these arrangements will remain in place to ensure the continued safety and wellbeing of our students.

While I was away, we held our school concert. I have heard so many wonderful comments about it, and I am really disappointed that I missed it. It sounds like it was a fantastic event, with everyone performing and contributing to such a wonderful concert!

Absences:

I would like to ask that all parents and carers explain student absences as soon as possible. We have noticed that quite a few absences are currently going unexplained.

Notifications are sent via School Bytes each day your child is marked absent, please ensure that you respond to the notification and provide an explanation for your child’s absence as soon as possible.

Book Week:

All the students look amazing in their Book Week costumes today and the parade was so much fun. Thank you for the support you have given to students to arrange costumes and supporting our Book Fair. Also, a big shout out the all the staff who have organised this day.

Junior Choir

On Wednesday morning the Junior Choir performed at the Bathurst Eisteddfod.  They sang beautifully and represented our school with such pride. We are incredibly proud of every one of them and all the hard work they put into their performance.

We are delighted that they will have the opportunity to perform for our school community at our Infants Assembly on Friday. We can’t wait to hear them sing again!

Student Code of Conduct

The Student Code of Conduct applies to all NSW public school students. It applies to all school activities, both on and off the school site, including online, and how students conduct themselves individually and with other students, teachers, school staff and community members.

Teachers will continue to refer to the Student Code of Conduct throughout Terms 3 and 4 to ensure all students have a clear understanding of the expectations and the positive behaviours that help create a safe, respectful and supportive learning environment.
