Lions Club Public Speaking

Congratulations to Jack and Claire on their fabulous speeches made at the Lions club competition. Both students spoke confidently and impressed the audience. 

3/4 Camp

3/4 Camp

Last week, from Monday to Wednesday, the Grade 3/4 students were lucky enough to attend Doxa Malmsbury Camp. Although the weather wasn't the best and it was quite wet, it didn't impact the schedule at all. Everyone was still able to participate in all the exciting activities, even though a few students ended up slipping over and getting a little muddy!

The activities included archery, the giant swing, the rock climbing wall, nature craft, disc golf and the low ropes course.

When the students weren't participating in activities, they enjoyed some free time playing dodgeball in the gym, pool or table tennis in the games room, board games in the recreation room, or exploring the playground.

Everyone also enjoyed the delicious meals, including butter chicken and chilli con carne for dinner, and burgers and a sausage sizzle for lunch.

Everyone had a fantastic time and created many great memories over the three days!

Rochy Reps

Clubs

 Student Voice

The Rochy Reps recently met with Mr Ross to decide on a fundraiser and fun activity to organise for the school. After sharing their ideas, everyone agreed that another school disco would be a great event. The Rochy Reps have now begun planning the disco, which will be held at the beginning of Term 4.

School clubs have also been running over the past two weeks, with the final two club sessions taking place over the next two Fridays. Students have been busy participating in a range of fun activities and have thoroughly enjoyed their chosen clubs.

Here is what some of the students have said about their clubs so far:

Dance – "We have been dancing to Beat It by Michael Jackson. I have enjoyed learning new dance moves with my friends."

Football – "I have enjoyed playing with friends from Colbo and Rochester Primary School. We've had the chance to play football on the bigger ovals, which has been great!"

Board Games and Puzzles – "We have been playing a variety of board games and card games together. I have played chess both weeks and have enjoyed the challenge of playing against different people."

Photography – "We have been taking photos around the school grounds. Last week we completed a scavenger hunt where we had to take photos of different objects."

Basketball – "I have enjoyed playing different basketball games with my friends and practising my skills through a variety of drills."

Rochester Elmore District Health Service – "We have been doing arts and crafts and playing board games with the people there. Everyone has been really kind and friendly, and they even made scones for us, which were delicious!"
