Principal's Update

Hi Everyone,
Welcome back to Term 4!
We hope that everyone enjoyed the school holidays and has returned refreshed. Students have commenced the term with enthusiasm and it has been wonderful to see everyone settle straight back into their learning.
Kinder to Classroom Readiness Program
Friday 23rd October will be our first transition session for the year. We are excited to meet our future foundation students for 2027. The Kinder to Classroom Readiness program provides a strong transition for students starting primary school and helps to ease the anxiety and worries of starting school. This will run from 9:30am to 11am in the Multi-Purpose Room and is for our 2027 enrolled Foundation students. If you have yet to enrol your child, please do so ASAP to ensure they are included in the transition program.
SunSmart Policy
Hats are compulsory for all students this term as per our SunSmart Policy. Students are to wear a broad brimmed navy blue hat when outside for break times and sport. If students do not have a hat they are available to purchase from Work Locker Cobram.
Wellbeing Team
I would like to welcome Heather Bovalina and Jocelyn Kelly to our Wellbeing Team. Jess will be taking leave shortly and during this time Heather, Monday to Thursday, and Jocelyn, Thursday & Friday, will become the wellbeing team during her temporary absence.
Heather comes to the school with a wide variety of experience and over the first week has already proven to be an asset to the school. Heather has enjoyed meeting our students, and staff, and looks forward to building connections and supporting our students.
Jocelyn is well known to our students through her Education Support work in the classrooms at CPS. I am very excited to see Jocelyn step up into a wellbeing role as she has consistently shown her dedication in supporting our student's emotional, social, physical, and mental health.
Congratulations to both Heather and Jocelyn on their new positions!
Have a great week!
