Sacraments
A massive congratulations to our Year 6 students who received the Sacrament of Confirmation on Thursday evening. This is a significant milestone in their faith journey, as they are strengthened by the gifts of the Holy Spirit and invited to continue living out their faith through their words, choices and actions. All students did a wonderful job and represented themselves, their families and our school with great reverence and maturity. A special thank you to Sam Sullivan for guiding and supporting the students throughout their preparation this year.
We also congratulate our wonderful Year 3 students who received the Sacrament of Reconciliation on Tuesday. It was a beautiful afternoon as the students continued their faith journey and reflected on God’s love, forgiveness and mercy. Reconciliation is an important sacrament as it reminds us that we are always welcomed back into relationship with God and one another. It encourages students to reflect on their choices, say sorry when needed, and understand the healing power of forgiveness.
Thank you to all families for supporting your children as they prepare for and celebrate these important sacraments. These moments are made even more meaningful when school, parish and families come together to nurture the faith development of our students. Thank you also to all Year 3 teachers for their care, guidance and support in preparing the children for this special occasion.
Our next sacramental celebration will be with our Year 4 students, who will receive the Sacrament of Eucharist on Saturday, 12 September. We look forward to supporting them as they continue this important step in their faith journey.
