Year 1

Year 1 have been busy exploring measurement in Mathematics, investigating both length and mass. 

In Science, students have been discovering how light and sound travel through our world, learning that sound is created by vibrations.

To bring this to life, students experimented with a range of musical instruments, identifying which part of each instrument vibrates to produce sound. 

The excitement spilled into the playground, where students hunted for everyday objects to transform into their own makeshift instruments — and could be heard making music throughout recess and lunch!
