Parent Children Authors

Here at Murrumbeena Primary School, we have some very talented Parent Children Author’s amongst our school community.

Karen Wasson (Sophie K from 6M’s Mum) has written two books.  One a non-fiction book called Drop into the Ocean and her second book is a middle grade Graphic Novel called Inked.  Karen has many more ideas up her sleeve, so this is an author to keep your eye on!  https://www.karenwasson.com/

We also have another parent, Adele Frittitta, (Ivy W 4G and Maro W PC’s Mum) who has written her first picture story book about her own grandfather called My Nonno Loves.  It is a beautiful story about how it is the little things in life that shows the love we have for each other.  Adele also has another picture book coming out soon about her Grandmother.  Keep an eye out for it too.

Your children are very lucky to be able to borrow these books from our library during their library time – but you can also find them in all good bookshops too. 

If there are any other Secret Parent Children Author’s out in our community I would love to hear from you and promote your books in our library so our students can read them.  It is so important to show our children that dreams can come true and to keep reaching for the stars.
