Year 3 students attended a writing workshop with Andrea Hillbrick and will be working with her for 6 sessions to create their own story based on a mentor text.

Last week we celebrated 'Palantine's Day' as part of our URStrong Friendship program.  Students focused on what they are grateful for about our friends.

15 students represented Syndal South at the District Swimming Carnival at Monash Swimming Pool.  Congratulations to those students that have progressed to Division. Syndal South came 3rd overall.

Year 5 and 6 students looked at the importance of Cyber Safety.

Year 1 students made pancakes on Pancake Day.  They then used the experience to generate ideas in their Writers Notebooks.

We celebrated Lunar New Year and students learnt about traditions and customs, created festive crafts and finished the day with a spectacular Lion Dance performance.

Waverley Hockey Club ran hockey clinics last week for our Year 1 to 6 students.

Year 5 students have been showing responsiblity by helping their Foundation buddies.

Students in Year 3 completed a writers Notebook seed on 'Fox' by Margarent Wild.

Year 5 Science students used light to determine if different materials were transparent, translucent or opaque.
