Week 5

Wow, already we are at week 5! Again we have lots happening this week around the school.

Just a reminder to all parents and carers that drop off time MUST be after 8:15am.  This week we have seen a large number of children dropped in the mornings at 8am or before. Our teachers are not required to be here before 8:30am and although they are, this is time for them to prepare for the day.  If students arrive before 8:30am, they are to sit in the quad area until the duty teacher comes out at 8:30am. Thank you for your support with this.

Also another reminder to all parents that there is a designated 5 minute parking section in front of the school during mornings and afternoons.

Congratulations to our SRC representatives from Years 1-5 on being elected as part of the Martin’s Gully student voice. Our Year 6 students will all be part of this also. We look forward to planning exciting events and hearing what our students want to see as part of their learning journey.

Welcome BBQ and P&C

Last Wednesday evening we held our annual Welcome BBQ. It was such a beautiful relaxed evening and a great opportunity for students to share their space with their families and meet other families. A huge thank you to David and Leo Preston for cooking our BBQ and getting everyone fed!

Please remember our P&C Meeting this week.  It would be great to see new faces come along.

Three Way Interviews

Three Way Interviews were to be conducted this term, however these will now be conducted next term to coincide with the Reporting term. As always, if you have any concerns prior to this, please reach out to your child’s teacher. These Three Way Interviews will now be held in Term 2, week 4 and bookings will be open in week 3.

One Off Excursion Payment

At Martin's Gully we have a one-off excursion payment for all students.  This payment covers all local Armidale extra-curricular trips such as Thalgarrah, Visiting Performers, PSSA knockout Sports and some Creative Arts Events as well as Intensive Swimming Program and Gymnastics Program.

This reduces the need for parents to be paying small amounts every time something is on.

The one-off cost for Kindergarten to Year 2 students is $80.00, and for students in Years 3-6 it is $110.00, and remains the same as last year.

Please note, this payment does not cover overnight excursions or extra opportunities that may be offered to selected students.

If this payment is not made, you will have to pay for individual activities as they arise.

Payments can be made online via our parent payment system. Payments can be made through School Bytes. All payments are due by 29 May 2026. Part payments can also be made.
