Meet The Team
Seniors
SAJE ( SEA & SJH)
SAJE stands for Seniors Andrew Jesse and Emma, just one of the many dream teams operating at BNWPS. This group brings dynamism to the senior cohort through their varied interests and backgrounds.
Jesse is the leader of the group. A native of New Zealand, his cool, calm, and considered demeanour makes him a natural choice as the senior school team leader. Jesse has a couple of kids at the school, so he knows how the place runs. An avid board game player, Jesse brings this passion into the classroom.

Emma is new to the school and the country and has left the grim reality of Old Blighty behind. As a Brit, Emma brings her enthusiasm for football (or soccer, as it’s correctly known as in this country) and love of healthy competition into her work. As a French and German high school teacher, this is the first time Emma has taught primary but has slotted in naturally with her teammates and is constantly kicking goals for education.

Andrew is the only Australian native on the team, even though his lineage is more Celtic than Brunswickian. Andrew was the Art teacher at BNWPS for many years before taking leave to set up his own Art School (Primary Colours…nudge nudge). Andrew originally taught a grade 4/5/6 when he started at the school and is stoked to be back in the classroom again.
The teaching roles in SAJE are shared. Jesse is here every day, Emma is here Monday to Wednesday, and Andrew finishes the week on Thursday and Friday.

SMRK (SMM & SRK)
Seniors Michael, Bek and Kate are one of the great senior combos at BNWPS. Different strengths, shared load, good vibes all round.
Michael is the constant – in all week and at the centre of it all. A maths man through and through, he loves helping kids crack tricky problems. As our ICT leader, he’s the tech brain of the school, keeping everything running smoothly. When he’s not talking numbers or devices, he’s out on the courts shooting hoops with the crew.

Bek is in on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays. As a well-being leader, she keeps connection and care front and centre. She’s also a gigging musician who’s played at the Tamworth Country Music Festival this year – no big deal. Add creative writing and poetry to the mix, and you’ve got someone who brings heart and artistry into everything she does.

Kate takes over Thursdays and Fridays. She’s been at BNWPS since 2010, but this is her first year in Seniors, and she’s loving it. Kate lives and breathes books – reading them, selling them at weekend markets, talking about them in book club, even writing a little herself. Throw in a hit of tennis, and that’s Kate in a nutshell.
Three teachers, shared week, plenty of energy. SMRK have Seniors covered.
