Principal's Report

This week's newsletter has been written by Willem Clark - Principal for a Day!

Italian Day

A thank you to Signora Di Petta for an amazing and fun Italian day, even though it started to rain we still had an extremely fun parade which every class enjoyed. Then the whole school attended a show which made everyone laugh and even taught kids to be brave and volunteer in front of everyone. The activities were fun and interesting because we learnt about places in Italy, the projects were fun and we got to take them home to show our parents. It wasn't just fun, the grade 5/6s got to lead the projects and the groups so they know what it is like to take responsibility for things.

Twilight Sports Reminder

A reminder that twilight sports is coming up soon, all the students take part in athletics and compete for ribbons. This is held on Friday, 14th of November, and all the kids will sit on the inside of the track with their house, after getting ticked off by their teacher. Everyone has to be seated by 4:15 so the event can start at 4:30pm and the event will end at 6:30pm. There will be a BBQ hosted by our PFA on the night as well, sausages can be purchased on the night.

Human development Year 5/6

On the 5th of November the Year 5 and 6 students had a human development workshop in the school library. They learnt about how to protect themselves and things that you should not do. They also learnt the importance of our language within the community to make sure everyone is comfortable. The Year 5 and 6s learnt about mood swings, hormones and how our bodies change during puberty. In conclusion the Year 5 and 6s learnt how to keep themselves safe.
