Consent and Respectful Relationships PD and Parent Nights

Real Talk Australia are currently touring the diocese, conducting PD on consents and respectful relationships across the Diocese. Real Talk is a Catholic provider that works with catholic communities on difficult and contemporary issues affecting young people today. Three hubs are involved, including Moree (St Philomenas,) November 10, Armidale November 11 (Armidale Catholic Schools) and Tamworth November 12 (McCarthy). Professional Development for teachers begins at 3.45pm to 4.45pm, Primary age parents at 6.00pm to 7.00pm and Secondary parents from 7.30pm to 8.30pm.

Australian Catholic Youth Festival.

Please keep our 60 pilgrims from all the secondary schools in the diocese in your prayers as they embark next Friday to Melbourne to the Australian Catholic Youth Festival. 10,000 young people from all over Australia will converge in Melbourne for prayer, Mass, liturgy, keynotes, workshops, music, friendship and fun. Bishop Murphy will be attending and is looking forward to the event and spending time with the Armidale Diocesan Pilgrims. In true pilgrim style, travel is by train to Sydney followed by an overnight train to Melbourne. Information about the Festival can be accessed here.
