Specialists

At St Brigid’s Year 1/2 students will participate in several specialist subjects. 

Mondays: 

Performing Arts (fortnightly, on odd weeks)

Tuesdays:

Library

Wednesdays:

Art and P:E

Thursdays:

STEM

Fridays: 

Italian (fortnightly, on even weeks)

Running Club - Tuesday 8:15am - Don’t forget that running club is on every Tuesday.  If you want to join, please meet Miss Richards on the St Brigid’s running track. (No running club Tuesday 10 or 17 February due to Swim Squad Training).

Library Day

This term our library day is Tuesday. Library borrowing commences in week 3.

Take Home Reading

As the students work through the Little Learners Love Literacy program they will be taking home one decodable text for the week. Students will start taking home books on Tuesday of Week 4 (17th February).

Parent Helpers

The Parent Helpers roster has been sent home to those parents who have volunteered so thank you.  We understand that not every parent can assist in the classroom but if you have not yet volunteered and would still like to please email your class teacher.  Just a reminder that in order to do this you must have a current Working With Children’s Check. If there are any changes to these rosters we will be in touch and let you know.

Start Time Reminder

The classroom opens at 8:40am for students to unpack and put away their bags. Learning time starts at 8:45am and it is imperative that students are at school on time to ensure that they do not miss out on crucial learning.

Thursday 12th February - Get to Know You Interviews - 3:45pm to 6:00pm

Wednesday 18th February - Ash Wednesday 

Wednesday 25th February - Open classroom morning 8.45am - 9.30am

Friday 6th March - School Closure Day - Staff PD

Monday 9th March - School Closure Day - Labour Day 

Friday 13 March - School Photos - all students in full summer uniform

Monday 23rd March - House Cross Country

Monday 30th March - Easter Bonnet Parade

Thursday 2nd April - Last Day of Term
