School Structure Consultation

Information for Parents and Carers 

Dear parents and carers,    

I am writing to let you know that the Victorian government has started a process to consult with Prep to Year 9 and Year 10-12 school communities about school provision models. 

The consultation aims to get the views of school communities on both the advantages and potential disadvantages of the P-9 and 10-12 structure compared to more traditional models like primary P-6 and secondary 7-12 schools. 

I want to assure you that this process is only at the beginning, and no decisions have been made. 

I have been informed that the Department of Education is going to be fully consulting with us as school leaders and our staff on these issues during term 3. 

I want to assure you that if any future changes do result from this process, there will be no change to school structures or enrolments for the 2027 school year.
