This event marked the second stage of competition, following their qualification at the Diamond Valley District Athletics Carnival.

As always, all students should be extremely proud of their efforts, regardless of the results. Reaching this level of competition is a remarkable achievement in itself. We saw tremendous grit, determination and resilience on display, with every jump, throw and push to the finish line showcasing the commitment of our students.

A special shoutout to the students who qualified, by finishing 1st or 2nd in their events, to compete at the Northern Metropolitan Region Athletics Championships next term. We wish them all the very best!

FOOTY DAY - FRIDAY 11th SEPTEMBER

Gallery Image

As shared recently, Isabella A (6RM) and Grace P (6SM) have both achieved the incredible honour of being selected in Team Vic squads, with Isabella selected for Australian Football and Grace for Basketball.

Representing Team Vic is a fantastic achievement and comes with significant costs for families, as participation is self-funded. Expenses can reach several thousand dollars and include host state and administrative levies, uniforms, training and team equipment, transport, accommodation and meals.

To help support Isabella and Grace and their families with their fundraising, we will be holding our annual Footy Day on Friday 11th September.

For a gold coin donation, students are invited to come dressed in their favourite team colours. Throughout the day, our Year 6 Leaders will run a range of fun footy rotations for students to enjoy.

We look forward to seeing our school community getting behind Isabella and Grace and helping celebrate their fantastic achievements!

COMMUNITY SPORTING ACHIEVEMENTS

If your child achieves something special (grand final win, most valuable player award, best and fairest etc.), please email me (jordan.daley@education.vic.gov.au) through photos and an overview of the achievement to post in Contact. It is important to celebrate and recognise such successes with the school community.
