As we enter the final stretch of Term 3, there is a wonderful sense of energy and purpose across the school. Our next fortnight is packed with rich learning opportunities, community fundraisers and significant spiritual celebrations.
In Week 9, our Year 5 and 6 students will kick off the week on Monday by diving into the world of STEM during an interactive Robogals incursion. On Friday, our Year 3 and 4 students will also get their turn with the Robogals team for hands-on engineering activities. Also on Friday, we send our best wishes to the selected Year 5 and 6 students who will be representing St Michael's at the District Basketball Day.
Week 10 brings a particularly special milestone on Sunday, as our candidates receive the Sacrament of First Holy Communion. All families are welcome to attend this Mass at 11:00 am to support our First Communicants. Please keep these children in your prayers as they take this important step in their faith journey.
On Wednesday morning, families can join us for a bite to eat at the Toastie Truck Fundraiser from 8:00 am to 9:00 am. Ensure that toasties have been pre-ordered via the link provided through Class Dojo and the nConnect portal. Toasties can be ordered for all family members - not just St Michael's students.
Later that day, all students will experience the powerful rhythms and culture of Japan during a whole-school Taiko Japanese Drumming incursion.
On Thursday, we celebrate Footy Colours Day and students are encouraged to wear their favourite footy team colours as we mark the end of the season. We will be collecting a gold coin donation that will raise funds and awareness for the Footy Colours for Cancer charity. This was recently promoted at our school in the Today Show and in the Herald Sun newspaper.
Finally, Term 3 officially concludes on Friday, 18th September, with an early dismissal time of 2:00 pm. Thank you for your ongoing partnership and enthusiasm throughout this busy term. We look forward to sharing these upcoming events with you; this will be communicated via the nConnect and Class Dojo. We wish all our families a safe and refreshing break when the holidays arrive.

2027 Enrolments
We are currently planning ahead for 2027. We still have some availability for Prep and limited availability in other year levels. If you know anyone who may be looking at local schools, please spread the word about your wonderful experiences as St Michael's. If your child (Prep to Year Five) is moving away from St. Michael's in 2027, please notify the office as soon as possible.

Footy Colours Day
Following our promotion of Footy Colours Day on the Today Show and in the Herald Sun, the St. Michael's Footy day will be held in Week 10, Thursday 17th September. Celebrate your favourite AFL team by wearing their colours.
