Athletics Carnival 2025
🏃♀️🏅 Athletics Carnival 2025 – Two-Day Event 🏅🏃♂️
We’re excited to announce that our Athletics Carnival will be held over two days this year!
📅 Day 1 – Track Events
Date: Monday 30th June - Cancelled due to wet weather! New date TBC
📍 Location: C.ex Stadium.
This day will include all track events for students aged 8 years and older. Permission notes for this event have been sent via School Bytes – please check your inbox and complete them as soon as possible 📧✅.
📅 Day 2 – Field Events
Date: Wednesday 2nd July
📍 Location: On school grounds
This day will include all field events and will take place at school 🏫.
We look forward to two fantastic days of participation, encouragement and sportsmanship! 🎉👏
Soccer
A great day of soccer was had recently for our boys and girls school teams.
Our boys had a strong win over William Bayldon before going down against a very determined Toormina PS team. Congratulations to Toormina Public School on progressing through to Round 3.
Congratulations to our girls team on progressing through with two strong wins against William Bayldon and Sawtell.
Thanks to the Toormina High School student referees who did a great job as always.
Celebrating Our Achievements at the North Coast Cross-Country
We are excited to share some fantastic news regarding our very own Lucy Stein, who recently showcased her incredible talent at the North Coast Cross-Country held on Friday, the 13th of June. Lucy earnt the right to compete at the North Coast event by placing 1st at the Boambee Public School, the Toormina District, and the Mid-North Coast events. She has demonstrated outstanding athletic ability and determination.
At the North Coast event, Lucy continued to impress, finishing in a remarkable 4th place. This outstanding achievement qualifies her to compete at the State Cross-Country Championships. We are immensely proud of Lucy's accomplishments. This is a fantastic opportunity for her to represent our school and region at a state level.

Boambee Public School
Touch Football
Boambee PS touch football teams had an eventful start to the NSW PSSA Knockout Competition! The girls showed great spirit in their matches, especially with their strong win against Coffs Harbour PS. Even though they faced a tough game against Kororo PS, their effort is commendable. The boys had an impressive performance, particularly with their convincing win over Coffs Harbour PS and a solid victory against Kororo PS. Best of luck to the boys in their upcoming match against Mullaway PS!
Cricket Knockout
Congratulations to the Boambee Cricket Team...Off to the 3rd Round!
On Wednesday, 25th June the Boambee Public School Cricket team travelled to Toormina Oval to participate in the 2nd Round PSSA Cricket Knockout after beating Toormina Public School in Round 1 earlier in the year. I am thrilled to announce that Boambee Public School has emerged victorious, triumphing over Sawtell Public School! The match showcased outstanding performances from our players, with Boambee scoring 81 runs with a loss of 4 wickets, while Sawtell managed to score 75 and a loss of 10 wickets.
Highlights of the Match:
- Bowling Stars: A special mention goes to Wilbur and Hudson, who both took 3 wickets each, demonstrating exceptional skill and determination on the field.
- Fielding Excellence: Ryan showcased his ability with 2 impressive catches, contributing significantly to our team's success.
- Batting Brilliance: Bodhi led the batting charge with a commendable score of 26 runs, helping to set a strong foundation for our innings.
The sportsmanship displayed by all players throughout the match was commendable, reflecting the true spirit of the game. Both teams played with respect and integrity, which is a testament to the values we uphold at Boambee Public School.
Looking ahead, our team will be competing in the 3rd round against Narranga Public School. We wish our players the best of luck as they prepare for this upcoming challenge. Let’s continue to support our team and cheer them on!
