2026 NSW Public Schools Primary Aboriginal Dance Workshop

Last Thursday, 4th June we had a group of students travel to Hillvue Public School in Tamworth to participate in one day workshop coordinated by the NSW Department of Education with mentorship by the Brolga Dance Academy.   Students learned a combination of traditional and contemporary dance movement and applied this using their knowledge of storytelling and culture.  This workshop had the aim of developing dance skills and cultural significance for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in Yrs 3-6.
