Today students at EVPS participated in Walk Safely to School Day.
Walk Safely to School Day is a great way to encourage young children to be active and give them the confidence and life skills they need. Walking to school also teaches your child safe ways to behave around roads and traffic.
It is a great way to connect with family and the surrounding communities. It encourages a healthy and active way to get to school. Although walking all the way to school isn’t realistic for many of us, it’s quite easy to figure out how to build a walk into your family daily routine, for example, you could park a little further from the school and walk the rest of the way.
It encourages less traffic congestion and contributes to a healthier environment.
Remember Active Kids are Healthy Kids so start planning your own Walk Safely to School journey.
Chicken Club
Branka is the only farm teacher.
You can collect eggs. I had to water the plants. If Branka says, we need to collect
the seeds, dig a hole and put the seeds in it. I held the chicken, it was smelly. I had fun.
You go Tuesday and Thursday.
Avash 4ST
Chicken club is a massive hit with students. The students line up each Tuesday and Thursday at recess to have a chance to feed and cuddle a chicken.
