2024 Elevate Education

We are pleased to announce during Week 6, Year 10 students had another Elevate Study Skills Seminar on Growth and Goal setting. As part of promoting our ongoing work with study skills in form and SEL classes, students participated in activities and workshops hosted by the 8 Elevate presenters. Our students gained an appreciation of the finer points of studying and were given a chance to share their dreams, aspirations and plans for the future.

Ultimately, the feedback surveys from students indicated a 94% endorsement rate, again highlighting the importance of having strong study skills as part of their learning experience. It was most pleasing to hear feedback including having confidence in your personal growth and it was fantastic to see our students engaged by the sessions. More importantly, the feedback from students indicates that they have the necessary supports from our college and Elevate Education to prepare them for success in Semester 2 exams. Additionally, 190 students ended the day with a Certificate of Participation in recognition of the Elevate seminar program! 

I would like to thank Mr. McGavisk, and also the Year 10 team, for helping to organise the Study Skills content and prepare for the Elevate Education event. Special acknowledgements to Ms. Hawtin and Ms. Atkinson for making the day both possible and eventful for our students. We look forward to many more exciting events for Term 4 and into VCE 2025!
