Message from the Principal Team

Dear Families and Community Members,

As we approach the end of Term 3, we want to take a moment to reflect on the achievements and activities that have characterised this term. As always, at Craigieburn Secondary College our core values of Understanding, Respect, Belonging, and Growth are at the heart of everything we do.

This term has been filled with energy and pride. One of the standout occasions was the whole school Fox FM event, where our students truly embodied our values of Respect and Belonging, celebrating this amazing opportunity with great enthusiasm. It was a memorable day that showcased our school community to the rest of Victoria. 

We have been dedicated to supporting our senior students as they prepare for upcoming exams, with a strong emphasis on developing effective study skills crucial for their success. Additionally, our students have been actively involved in subject selections, setting the stage for their next steps in their educational journey.

Our staff have gone above and beyond, providing a wide array of extracurricular activities and excursions. Notable highlights include the Amazing Art Gallery Race, the Scienceworks excursion, and the Macbeth incursion. The Year 8 Adventure Camp was also a significant event, offering students invaluable experiences outside the classroom.

A special thank you is due to our Community Team, who have done a phenomenal job this term celebrating our cultural diversity with pride. It was wonderful to see our students perform at the 4Cs Cultures Coming Together evening, proudly representing our college and demonstrating our commitment to cultural diversity and unity.

As previously communicated, we are currently reviewing our Mobile Phone Policy, engaging with parents, community members, and students through various forums. We look forward to sharing further updates on this initiative in Term 4.

As we approach the end-of-term break, I wish everyone a restful and enjoyable time. Let’s embrace the warmer and longer days ahead and return refreshed for another successful term.
