Principal's Report

Term 3, Week 9

Dear Parents and Carers,

It's hard to believe this is the last newsletter for Term 3! It has certainly been a busy term, but as always a very rewarding one for the staff and students of St FX!

Dance Extravaganza

The excitement and anticipation is building as we prepare for the 2023 Dance Extravaganza - St FX Factor! The final production will be held next Thursday 21 September commencing at 7.00pm at the Crossing Theatre. Doors will open at 6.15pm and all students are asked to arrive no later than 6.45pm ready for a prompt start at 7.00pm. We will conduct three practices over the next two weeks at the Crossing Theatre - this Wednesday 13th, next Monday 18th and then through the day on Thursday 21st. Students will need to have their costume for the Monday 18th September rehearsal. A very big thank you in advance to the staff of St FX for their preparation for the big night, specifically Michelle O'Connor and her organising committee of Lauren Grant, Chelsea Wheeler, Annabelle Mackey, Tara Langfield, Jess Craig and Holly Greenaway.

P&F Movie Night

A very big thanks to our Parents and Friends Committee who organised our Family Movie Night on Friday night. Although the weather was a little cool, it is always lovely to be able to spend time with our families together!

Parent Information Session - Chief Inspector Robert Dunn

A very big thank you also to Chief Inspector Robert Dunn who presented at our most recent Parent Information Session in regards to some of the challenges being faced by our young people in today's society. The session was very informative and provided us with a very honest reflection of the challenges that our children are facing as they grow up in a very different culture to our own. If you were unable to attend, but would like some further information, please contact us at school.

Term 4

Term 4 will commence for staff and students on Monday 9 October.

Have a great week!

Nick
