Sundays Gospel

Last Sunday’s Gospel was Matthew 16:21–27. Jesus explained to his disciples that following him would not always be easy. Peter struggled to understand this, but Jesus reminded his followers that being a disciple sometimes means making sacrifices, putting others before ourselves and choosing what is right, even when it is difficult.

For parents, this Gospel is a reminder that raising children often involves sacrifice. There are times when we put our own needs aside, have difficult conversations or make decisions our children may not understand at the time. Following Jesus encourages us to lead our children with love, patience and courage, helping them learn that doing what is right is not always the easiest choice, but it is often the one that helps us grow.

Sacrament of the Eucharist

On Tuesday, 1st of September, Year 4 students took part in a Reflection Day as part of their preparation for the Sacrament of the Eucharist. Throughout the day, they participated in a range of meaningful activities that encouraged prayer, reflection and a deeper understanding of this sacred sacrament. It was a special opportunity for students to strengthen their relationship with Jesus and reflect on the significance of the Eucharist in their faith journey. It was wonderful to see how much their understanding had grown and developed over the course of the term.

On Saturday 12th September at 2:30 pm,  Students will celebrate and receive the Sacrament of the Eucharist. Students are asked to wear neat casual clothes. Traditionally, students wear white.
