We would like to extend our gratitude to the students who consistently uphold the standard of wearing the College uniform correctly. Your commitment to this expectation is commendable, and we appreciate the support from parents in ensuring their children adhere to the uniform guidelines.
At Sandringham College, we have a clear expectation that all students will be in the correct uniform. If a student knows they will be out of uniform for any reason, we kindly request that they bring a note from home, signed by a parent or carer, and present it to their Year Level Leader. This helps us maintain transparency and ensures a smooth process for addressing uniform-related concerns.
As a reminder, there are a few key points regarding the uniform code that we would like to emphasize:
No undershirts with sports uniform. Wear the jacket or rugby jumper in cold weather.
Correct colour socks that adhere to the policy for the uniform being worn.
College blazer: The blazer is a crucial part of the uniform and must be worn to and from school. On extremely hot days, a Compass message will be posted, exempting students from wearing the blazer.
Jewellery: students are reminded to wear small earrings only. Necklaces, bracelets, rings, and other items will be confiscated.
We are pleased to acknowledge that the vast majority of Year 12 students have been diligently following the dress code. We would like to take this opportunity to provide a few reminders specific to our Year 12 cohort:
No midriffs showing, (no tank tops): Year 12 attire should reflect the values of the college, showing respect and appropriateness for the school as a workplace.
Footwear with back straps: All footwear must have a back strap for safety and compliance.
Jewellery: Year 12 students are reminded to wear small earrings only. Necklaces, bracelets, rings, and other items will be confiscated.
We appreciate the collective effort of parents and students in upholding the College's uniform and dress code policies. Your commitment to these standards contributes to the positive and professional atmosphere within our school community.
